So the Duval raid was announced recently! He's not very overwhelming as a character and has 3 character evolutions to go through - however, his special is

Cuts the current HP of each enemy by 20%, reduces damage received by 50% for 1 turn

which can be quite useful! It's a niche special and certainly has its uses, but is not a game changer the way a MAX/MAX/MAX mihawk/doffy can be. Since he has 3 sockets, he can provide some much needed socket love to your DEX, Shooter, and Free Spirit teams.

A small tip is keep any Sanji Paraj Shot units in your box around. He can be used to evolve Duval to his final form as opposed to using all the evolution material.

As a preparation tip, make sure you have your Blackbeards at special cooldown as close to MAX as possible. Some people have pulled it of with 17, but the lower the better. Once Duval despairs your team, you'll unleash BB's special to basically take him out! Just beware the ladies who despair you throughout the stages. You'll want to target them first, or in the case of stage 4 you can use Usopp to stall them and take them out casually.
