Ok, since nobody volunteered I redesigned the main page, primarily by removing a bunch of obsolete content, includong the entire news section. It was a pain to maintain it.

I would like to design a new events main page, but I think I will do it by adding content to the Extra Isle entry. The Category:Events is a bit of a mess too. 

I wish i was able to see this post several days ago.If you ever decide to add this back to the homepage i woudn't mind helping.

You can update the news template and add it back whenever you want :)

For the next couple of weeks i might be late on updating the main page. Midterms and other College projects are taking prioity right now.
