General Discussion
I think the notes sections can use some refining. See Whitebeard and [[Whitebeard Four Emperors]] for my new proposed format. The top is a summary (with date of review), with tier rankings for the unit, it's CA/special/LB. Then there're more general notes (discussion of CA, special, teambuilding), followed by trivia stuff. Also, I figure we can create a tier list.
Tier list wording with legend examples (I only divided pre- and post SE units if I think it matters)
5 - Awesome OP. The new hotness that can clear a lot of stuff. For legends - the ones that seem to dominate most new clears. Lucy, Shanks v2, Doffy v2, Akainu v2, Law v2 post-SE, Katakuri
4 - Strong, solid, useful, still often used as clears. Neko, Fuji v1, Boa v2, TSL, G4, Lucci v2, Law v2, Jimbe post-SE, Aokiji post-SE, BB, Hody post-SE, Magellan (or perhaps he is even better?), Sanji v1, Judge, Zoro post-SE, Franky, Robin, Lace (or maybe higher?). Aokiji v2, Garp, Sanji v2 (or is he better?),
3 - Ok, average, sometimes used as clears but not very often. Ace, Cavendish, Ray v1 post-SE, Inthawk, Sabo post-SE, Doffy v1, Lucci v1, Law v1 post-SE, Barto, Kizaru, Aokiji pre-SE,Shirahoshi (or maybe she is 4?), Inu, Usopp, Eneru, Fuji v2 (yes, I think Fuji v1 is better then Fuji v2), Zoro pre-SE, KFL (I just don't see him used as lead in clears often)
2 - Weak, niche. Not used as clears anymore (but were once): WB, Log Luffy, Ray v1 pre-SE, Corazon, Jimbe pre-SE, Buggy (well, he is special as in 100% niche...), Hody pre-SE
1 - Very weak, almost never usuful, even when they were released they were rarely used as clears or have aged ery badly. Boa v1, Marco, Shanks v1, Sengoku, Sabo pre-SE, Law v1 pre-SE
0 - total trash (fodder units, etc).
If someone has experience starting discord channels, go ahead. I've just recently started using this medium, it seems nice.
Pros: it's discord chat :)
Cons: fewer people will post in the comments, perhaps?
i know this is a weird recommendation, since he is very weak and no skill really fits him, but i think he should be added since there are a lot of underrated characters in the Colosseum, and he is technically the first villian of One Piece.. (Manga)
idea:
QCK (idk the Blue one i forgot what its called)
"8,000,000" Bounty Man
"Bandit Leader" Higuma
Slasher
Driven
Captain Ability -
Overconfident Leader
-Boosts QCK characters ATK by 1.5
Special -
Deadly Cut
20 Turns
-Deals 2x QCK damage of your last turn's total damage to one enemy
We don't have any active bureaucrat. Wiki speak, that means we don't have anyone who can appoint new people to be an admin. Per http://community.wikia.com/wiki/Thread:1443423#2 I am going to ask to become a bureaucrat for this wiki (I've been here for ~2 years and plan on staying around). I trust nobody has any objections?
I intend to make User:Robocafaz an admin, he is the creator of the https://www.nakama.network/ and we've been chatting about how to build some connections between our sites. He needs access to some admin tools to get some stuff done.
If anyone wants to be an admin, or a 'crat, feel free to post here.
Hi guys!
here are my units im kinda new to the game.. would appreciate any sort of help i can get from the optc community!
The most help i need right now is team building. What team should i build with my current units, and with my current units what team should i gear towards for late game. Thanks guys!
FYI i heavnt complete any 0 stamina forests, still trying to...
I want to super evolve my ace (no. 562) but I don’t know where to find the super evolution skull. Can anyone give me all possible ways to get it. Btw I just started playing the game 3-4 days ago so I really don’t know what I’m doing.
For a while I have been wondering if OPTC reddit mods dislike our wikia. Several times I suggested adding links to our wikia to the menu, and to individual events, but nothing has ever happened. It's not like they seem averse to linking to off-redit resources, both the menu and the events link to various sites. I can't help but wonder if some OPTC mod heavily invested in reddit wiki wants to censor information about our wikia to prevent people from contributing here?
Yesterday I posted this comment. I briefly saw it in the public menu, but today it is gone - I cannot see it except if I access it from direct link. It seems to have been removed with no explanation from the mod:
https://www.reddit.com/r/OnePieceTC/comments/7jqc4d/a_useful_link_for_the_menu/
Here is the text of my post:
I'd like to suggest that we add a link to the guide at http://onepiecetreasurecruiseglobal.wikia.com/wiki/Tips_for_New_OPTC_Players_and_Roadmap (I am the principal author if it) to the menu.
(But we already have a 'new player roadmap' you say? Sure, and it's a solid one - but the one I wrote is much more comprehensive. Call it a, uh, Comprehensive New Player Guide or such and put it as the next link under the current one, if I may suggest)
PS. As long as we are talking about the menu items, 'Team Builder Database' at https://slefty.herokuapp.com/ is no longer maintained and is getting more and more obsolete, and Global Events timeline is mislabelled or improperly links to an (also old, created in Aug 12, 2015 and not updated for a long time, not to mention annoying slow to load) https://goo.gl/veliNR Team Bulding Guide that has nothing to do with an events timeline. In fact the latter guide, while great for when it was written, could hurt new players - for example it advises giving CC to units like Namule or Urouge, recommends rerolling for Rayleigh and Shanks, and its 'suggested crewmembers' section discusses Miss Goldenweek among others...
Frankly, I am not sure what to do. I will message the mods and see what is their 'official' version, but it is dispiriting to see them shadow-censor our little community here (if this is indeed the case, maybe I am over-reacting and it was a random mistake or malfunction, but it still doesn't explain why my repeated previous requests in discussions to add optc wikia to the links have always fell on deaf ears...).
I seem to now have 10 of "Portgas D Ace Luffy's Brother" What should I do with them?
Recently I've been too tired/burned out/lazyto update the main page with current stuff, so if anyone wants to help, please do so. The main page content is udpated by editing this template: Main Page ScrollNav: News
Another option is to just redesign the page to list various sections, and stop bothering to update it with 'current stuff'. It's cute, but I don't know if anyone really finds it useful... [1]
Just making a place here to keep a list of things that still have to be added/changed/confirmed etc.
-Flesh out the Tontatta FN page.
-Update front page with current & upcoming content.
-Flesh out the Colisseum pages. We're lacking info on them.
-Make a new poll on the front page? Favourite Legendary has been there for a long time now.
-Sugo fest info. Maybe add the respective banners to make the page look more interesting?
Note that this is just a general list of suggestions. Feel free to post your own below, I'll add them to this original post when I remember (or if other admins like to just do that, that works too.) so it will stay clean.
Could someone with a chef zeff please add me, my player id is 264 563 031
This new mechanic also needs adressing. I think this is static on characters (so two of the same characters can't have different crewmate abilities) and it seems like it's not too common right now either. We could, again, make a list of this for now as a Category and just link it as a note at the character.
How do you want to add this to the wiki? Things like the Crimson Crystal Skull for Monkey D. Luffy don't have a number or type. We could add them as seperate characters perhaps, but we perhaps it's better to just make a page about them, with general info and a list of them + where to find and to just link this page if a character needs this as evolution material?
Hiya, sorry to bother you guys right as you pop-in but, if you guys could see if you have any information that could help in filling out the following i'd be very grateful.
- Category:Characters Needing Descriptions
- From Water Seven Island and further in the story, the missions that give rainbow berries were not shown, I filled in what I got to in the story but i might have missed some chapters, so if you're coming up on these islands or remember what chapter gave what i'd appreciate it.
- Grand Line Halfway Point and Grand Line Calm Belt need pages filled
- somehow need thumbs and main images for new islands
- Amazon Lily needs Titles/Etc added to page
- Amazon Lily characters need all the information added...
- The Doffy and Ivankov raid pages were both missing the EXP/title box so i could only put in the info from the pics on the official site so im not sure if the numbers for beli are correct.
One final feature that the github database has that we are missing is a list of characters of the same family (i.e. the ones that can be fed for sockets) and where they can be farmed. The first part of that could be easily fixed through a category (Category:Usopps for example). A more complex way of doing so would be a template that would be transcluded on all related characters, ex. (Template:Usopps) that would list all members of the family and where they can be farmed). First option is easier, second option harder and requires more maintenance but would look cooler.
Either way, it would be good to update the character pages with info on where they can be farmed for sockets (if anywhere).
Thoughts?
I added one to Brother_Soul!_Afro_Luffy!#Drop_rates. It is based on https://m.reddit.com/r/OnePieceTC/wiki/datagathering . What do you think? If you like it, please help add such sections to other FNs.
I did think about remaking the table, but why bother - the Google Doc form has most up to date, dynamicly updated stuff and there is no way to automate updating any table on wiki.
Wtf happend to the optc schedule ? So much raid bosses at the moment !
In one hand, I'm so happy about it, but in the other hand I can't get enough gems to farm 'em all x)
Let's centralize ideas on how to improve things like layout and such here. Here are some of my thoughts, a few of them have been discussed before:
- add MAX EXP to characters that are missing them and keep fixing stuff from Category:Tasks
- add walkhtroughs on more difficult story boss fights to the story island pages, like I did at Alubarna
- add beli/exp/rewards to story island pages, see Alvida's Hideout. I suggest adding end-of-island gem rewards (x5 or x10) to the rewards box too
- I recently learned that manual drops during Fortnights are likely tied to specific characters which drop them, ex. a book for character Z may be dropped only by the Blue Crab from Stage 4 of that fortnight. If this is the case updating our Fortnight guides with this rare info would be good.
The above are relatively minor and already agreed on. Here's a new idea: let's make character pages better by adding guides. Stuff like whether it is total garbage, should be kept for missions/sockets/rare fortnights, is a good sub/captain, notes on superior replacements (like Zeff's not being the ultimate Fighter captain, Arlong being a F2P slasher upgradable to RaidHawk, etc.), recommended sockets (based on https://www.reddit.com/r/OnePieceTC/comments/43b7a9/sockets_a_guide_on_what_to_get_and_look_for/ perhaps), warnings not to evolve GOP/MirageNami, recommended team builds for best captains, and so on. Bottom line, our character pages are about as useful as the official guide - let's try to make them as useful as the Japanese unofficial guide here: https://トレクル.gamewith.jp/article/show/15191
Anyway, feel free to propose your own ideas on what to fix/improve!
