Captain of the Blackbeard Pirates and former member of the Whitebeard Pirates' second division, Teach is the man who scarred Shanks' eye. In order to obtain the Dark-Dark Fruit, he broke the only iron rule of the Whitebeard Pirates: He killed a fellow crewmember and fled.

Notes:		Also known as BB, or more precise, RaidBB/ClashBB/STRBB (since now we have a Legend BB too). A very good unit, both as a captain and as a sub. Blackbeard led-teams can often one-shot or significantly hurt major bosses (particularly DEX ones like RaidDoffly or RaidDuval). Blackbeard's special only reflects damage inflicted by the enemy (including health lost in despair). It will NOT add in any damage caused by your specials such as General Zombie reducing your health. General consensus is to never put anti-despair sockets on BB. When he is despaired you can reflect 10x the lost HP as damage with BB special. The damage can be high enough to kill Doffy, Duval, Perona, and Aokiji with the right setups. See raid and fortnight pages for more info. As someone said: if you put despair sockets on BB, just shake your head about your own stupidity (like, not reading any guides), and start over. In fact this also means you will not run much despair sockets on BB's favorite team mates, which pretty means most of your STR characters. He is THAT strong, and this combo is THAT worth it.
