Bind Reduction

Characters with Bind Reduction can reduce, or prevent, a status effect of Bind on your characters.

When a character is placed in a Bind state, he is unable to be used to attack. Additionally, if your captain is placed in bind he is unable to be used. This includes his captain ability such as damage 2.5x multipliers or chain multipliers. It's worth noting that you do NOT lose health in the same way you do when a captain is placed in Despair. Bind only removes your ability to access that character's stats, it does not remove any passive abilities such as 2x health modifiers.
