Notes:

Summary (as of September'19): Tier rank: 2.5/5 (Below-average). Decent captain and sub, Fuji was simply boring (read: average) and behind the power curve when released and has been falling down since.

  • Captain ability: Average (3/5). 3.25x ATK boost is ok, and if you are good with tap timing, the last 3 units can bet a nice 4.225x ATK boost.
  • Special: Below average (2.5/5). Kills a few mobs or depletes a hit barrier, delays enemies (sadly many are delay immune...) and provides a matching board (but only a as a captain), Fuji v2 makes for an underwhelming sub.
  • Limit Break Average (3/5). Pinch Healing plus forgettable abilities and the usual stat boosts.

Detailed review and other notes

  • The problem with Fuji was that he was just plain boring in his CA (which also requires some tap timing skill) and special, plus already overshadowed by Legend Lucy and Legend Judge released just before him. Followed by more strong legends, such as board wiping Doffy v2 two months later, Fuji could never get his moment in the limelight.
  • While his damage output as a captain is ok, his special is very luckluster. The fact that he is one of the few legends with a debuff built into his CA doesn't help, neither.
  • "Boosts their ATK by a further 1.3x" is a multiplication, not an addition, so it's 3.25x*1.3x=4.225x and not 3.25x+1.3x=4.55x
  • Slashers needed a strong legend, since Mihawk v1 and Zoro v1 were aging, but Fuji was a major disappointment.
  • A similar special as Borsalino, but with the addition of a delay and the requirement of being a captain for matching slots.
  • His Super Evolution is an upgrade. SE him ASAP - but in all honestly, his SE is still a disappointment, so don't prioritize him, and SE him only if you have excess skulls or are really lacking in units to chose from.
