After raising up their "Sons' Cups" and sharing a drink with his fellow comrades in arms, he was able to fulfill his dream of becoming Luffy's underling.

Notes:

Summary (as of March'19): Tier rank: 2.5/5 (Below average). After SE, Barto becomes an ok but still underpowered unit.

  • Captain ability: Below average (2.5/5). 3x boost for two classes. Well, he is much better than his pre-SE version - but there are much better Striker, Driven, and plain rainbow captains.
  • Special: Average (3/5). Replacing useless damage with a minor ATK boost for two classes, Barto special is a bit better... but still mostly forgettable. If you need to survive a KO single hit, yes, Barto is fine. But other than this he is still very niche.
  • Limit Break Below average (2/5). To add insult to injury, Barto doesn't get anything memorable (team-boosting) in his LB outside minor stat improvements.


Detailed review and other notes

  • The problem with Barto is that he is a jack of few trades, and neither of them is particularly impressive. Want a better Striker Captain? Cat Viper: King of the Night. Better Driven? Heavenly Demon Doflamingo, Ruler of the Birdcage. Better Striker+Driven? Take a rainbow captain that works for more than 2+ anyway like Legend Lucy, Whitebeard v2, or of you really really want a Striker Driven Golden Tesoro. And as for his special, 1.5x ATK boost for 2 classes is ok hardly good; heck, even earlier legends provided 1.75x-2x ATK boosts, and now we are only excited about 2.25x. So bottom line, Barto is still really interesting solely due to his 'survive a KO hit, once'. And that's a pretty niche ability, and even here, Legend Robin generally does it better as she can absorb any amount of hits in one round, but Barto takes just one. Or Legend Hody, since 90% reduction is generally enough, plus he kills barrier mobs. And so on. Barto doesn't even does his unique thing particularly well :(
  • Bottom line, Barto seems almost zero play these days, being relegated to a super niche role (minor ATK boost for 2-classes and tank a single hit).
  • Sometimes used as a Zombie captain, particularly when paired with Legend Hoshi
