Notes[]

  • There are multiple Arlong Fortnights. This event was released second and is frequently referred to as the Young Arlong Fortnight. It's not to be confused with Arlong: Empire Rising
  • 1 Rainbow Gem will be received upon full clear of all difficulty levels.
  • Limited-Time Event.
  • All difficulties get a chance to drop the manual or secret boss.
  • The higher the difficulty level, the higher the chance you'll have of getting one of the manual or secret boss to appear.

Drop rates[]

  • Do you want to know what are the precise drop chances of a poster or manual? Now you can see them [1] (for Elite and Expert). Also, please help refine that data by sharing the results of your drops through this form.

How to Beat Shark Attack! Arlong Pirates!![]

FAQs[]

General Information[]

This is one of the more difficult fortnights. First, there's the global condition of no TND (good) and no RCV (ouch) slots, and to add an insult to the injury, you will also be poisoned for the entire event (from 15 stamina difficulty onwards). The sub-boss, Kuroobi (STR), is not a major problem, but Arlong (STR) hits hard and quick, and you can also run into the rare boss Choo (INT). Health management will be key for your success. Consider looking for Enel as a captain and friend, bringing Healing Characters, or auto-heal sockets to help get through the level.

Recommended Captains[]

  • Boa Hancock Warlord of the Sea: Her special will save your life. Since she loses her captain ability, you must absolutely watch her health closely or bring Enel as a friend captain to help keep her health above 70%.
  • Eneru, Lightning Incarnate 200,000,000 Volt Amaru: Probably the most consistent lead to win this stage. However, double Enel is typically not needed, and it's recommended you consider pairing him with higher multiple captains. Since high ATK + healing is the same as stalling, he can completely replace some of the Time Delay units on your squad. If you wait, or have his cooldown powered up, you can use his special for a burst round against Arlong as well.
  • Diamond Jozu: Jozu's 2xHP gives your team a bit more breathing room.
  • Humming Swordsman Brook: okay this may seem crazy, but his loss prevention zombie skill is really useful if you need to tank a hit from Arlong.
  • Marco the Phoenix Whitebeard 1st Div. Commander: A slightly better option than Boa. His special will save your life. You must absolutely watch his health closely or bring Enel as a friend captain to help keep his health above 70%. His damage reduction is what helps your team drastically against hard hitters.
  • Portgas D. Ace Flame Mirror: Consider bringing a damage reducer or healer as Ace will need some help with the poison and hard hitting units on this stage.
  • Portgas D. Ace Black Clad Division Commander: A great Shooter legend that can burst through Arlong in one turn.
  • Rob Lucci Dock One Sawyer, Treenail Specialist: He's weaker, but will work in a pinch. You will absolutely want a healing and Time Delay unit to support your squad.
  • Sir Crocodile: Logia Ex-Warlord of the Sea: A great captain for the stage. You'll want to watch your health with the poison and use Kalifa CP9 Dark Justice as a sub to survive an attack.

Recommended Support Units[]

  • For Double Enel strategies, pick strong QCK units that have high health.
  • Kalifa CP9 Dark Justice: A great unit to reduce damage taken. Under 10% health she'll buy you a free turn with 100% damage negation.
  • Roronoa Zoro Jack the Ripper: A good unit for both a slasher lead as well as QCK. His time delay can make or break some teams with how hard some units hit on this level.
  • Usopp Usopp Golden Pound: A great unit to delay Arlong if you have a strategy for making it past two rounds with Arlong, see damage reducers for help.

Recommended Sockets[]

No one really runs Map Damage reduction sockets, but they would be a large help on this stage.

Since you most likely won't run these, Orb Matching, Auto-Heal, and Cooldown Reduction sockets are recommended to help get through the stage faster.

30 Stamina Walkthrough[]

 	Shark_Attack!!_Arlong_Pirates_Pulverized_-_30_Stamina_with_Enel_and_Marco_Young_Arlong_OPTC

Most Mid to High-level teams should be able to clear this level once you know the tricks. Lower level squads should stick to 15 stamina. You will need to watch your Time Delay and Damage Reducers to get through this level. With 14,000+ health you can run a no stall strategy. Otherwise, you might want to take a round or two to ensure your specials are ready, or that you don't push bosses to levels that cause too much damage.

6 Young Arlong - 6 Kuroobi Sun Pirates

Kuroobi will show up with 3 grunts. They all begin with a two turn cooldown. However, after the first turn Kuroobi will shift your orbs so don't bother attempting to save any special orbs.

If you have 3 units that can deal 1,000 damage change your attack to manual and attack Kuroobi first. Attempt to take him out on your first turn so that you don't have to deal with [BLOCK] orbs. Kuroobi also hits like a truck so it helps to save yourself the HP since Arlong won't go easy on you next round either.

After taking out Kuroobi, switch your targeting to the Marines and make sure to take out the three marines before they attack on their first turn. If you take a hit form one, stall a round to heal back up if you have Enel as your captain.

Enemy Hp Attack Pattern

Kuroobi Sun Pirates

~400,000 hp

Kurobi will start on 2 turn cooldown.

After one turn, he will shuffle your orbs with a chance of getting a [BLOCK] orb, and lock your orbs for one turn.

He will then attack every 3 turns for ~6,000 damage.

Once his health is below 20%, he will begin to hit for 8,000 damage.

7 Young Arlong - 7 Arlong Sun Pirates

You will need to begin your plan to stall two rounds, or take Arlong out. He will have immunity for two rounds and hits for 8,740 each turn. The general strategy when you have over one hit of health is to bring him to just over 50% health on your first turn and take your first hit. When he is <50%, he will enrage but NOT attack. So that's your next move is to take him down close to above 20% health but DON'T go past 20%. If you've caused this much damage your third attack should finish him off no problem.

If you can't cause enough damage to bring him below 50% in two turns, activate a damage reducer like Alvida or Perona to tank his second attack. You must push him below 50% here or have the health to tank another hit. His immunity will expire BUT don't activate your time delay unit. If you push him below 50% on the next move, he'll clear all buffs and not attack.

Once he's below 50% and enrages, activate any specials and go for gold to take Arlong out on this turn. He'll start hitting really hard so orb manipulators, attack boosters, and orb boosters need to take him out or you'll find the Game Over screen in your company.

Enemy Hp Attack Pattern

Arlong Sun Pirates

~920,000 hp

Arlong puts up a two round immunity, so there will be no delay or defense reduction for at least two rounds.

Arlong attacks each round for 8,740 damage.

Below 50% health but above 20%, Arlong will enrage and attack for ~9,800 damage.

Below 20%, Arlong hits for 20,000 damage and binds a random unit for 5 turns.

Secret Stage Young Arlong - Sec Choo Sun Pirates

Take out the grunts and just attack normally against Choo. You may need to heal or stall longer for specials if you take too much damage against him.
Enemy Hp Attack Pattern

Choo Sun Pirates

On his first attack turn, Choo silences your captains for 1 turn and heals himself for 330,000 hp.

He attacks every turn for 2,400 damage.
