Treasure Map Announcement

Announced March 3rd 2018, released March 14th 2018.

What is Treasure Map?[]

A new adventure mode where you can collect Limit Break materials and other rewards. You can also obtain TM-exclusive characters.

How to play Treasure Map[]

The Treasure Map is only accessible while treasure mode events are ongoing, which happens once per month and lasts for typically four days (five days on some occasions in the past).

Press the Adventure Icon and then the Treasure Map option to enter the Treasure Map.

Inside, you will only be able to move by tapping the Log Pose and rolling 1-5 spaces. Doing this will consume 6 Sailing Stamina, which is a seperate stamina bar capped at 100. You will not use normal stamina. If you P-level up or use a gem to restore stamina inside the Treasure Map, the Sailing Stamina bar will be restored by 100 points, to a maximum of 200.

Your ship stops on spots know as Treasure Spots.  Outside of a few empty ones, each has something different awaiting you: a treasure chest (beli, boosters, cotton candy, forbidden tome, limit break materials, etc.), a blue-gold star containing various amounts of Treasure Points (from few hundeds to over 10,000), a positive or negative modifier for upcoming battles (you can only one have one of each, new one will replace the older one), and finally, a mini-boss or the final boss fight.

Defeating bosses gives both Treasure Points and Mastery Points (given only to participating characters that can limit break). The final boss gives much more of both than mini bosses. Boss battles will also drop chests which can include cola or limit break materials. Final boss battle has a chance of dropping the boss poster.

Mini-boss and boss battles have 5 stages for Global (3 for Japan). The mini-bosses on the open map keep their initial HP/Attack, unlike when fought at the end of the map. It is recommended to defeat as many as possible for the treasure drops/points, and to do so with teams full of Trusty Characters (particularly the ones that boost Treasure Points the most, and/or characters that can limit break, to soak up free Mastery Points). The final spot on the map consists of all the mini-bosses and the final boss. Any mini-bosses defeated on the open map will be greyed out. As you clear successive maps (known as Navigation Levels), final battle mini-bosses and the big boss will increase in strength (gaining extra HP and ATK). While you want to include characters that can give you more Treasure Points or get Mastery Points, as difficulty increse you may need to switch them out for stronger characters that don't help with TPs/benefit from MPs but simply help you clear the battle.

If you are defeated in any battle, you'll lose 2 Navigation Levels. You shouldn't close the app while in the Treasure map, since you will lose all your sailing stamina and some levels. This is done most likely to avoid log pose rerolling. If you wish to close the app or go to the main menu while on Treasure Map, go to Menu and then use the Suspend option. Choosing the Give Up option will count as a loss, and lower your Navigation Level. Always choose the Suspend option. You can close the app during a Treasure Map. It will ask you if you want to continue from where you left off. If you choose to not do so, then you'll lose your sailing stamina.

"Automatic Cruise" lets you harvest treasure points according to how long you let Automatic Cruise go on. You don't get any bonus nor malus influence. It is not recommended to use this option. It was an ill-advised addition to this game mode.

"Bonus Map" : usual maps are less rich in power-ups and extra points than they used to be. Every fifth run, the "bonus map" will only be filled with extra attack bonus, CD Reduction bonus, prism chests and extra points stashes.

Treasure Points[]

Defeating a boss or landing on specific points in a Treasure Map will award you with Treasure Points. The amount of points you gather over the entire duration of the Treasure Map will determine your ranking and will also unlock more and more rewards as you reach the milestones.

It is recommended you use as many of the boosted (Trusty) units as possible to get a good Treasure Point multiplier, so you can earn more points for defeating bosses.

To fully Limit Break the Treasure Map's unique character (E.g: Dracule Mihawk The Man Who Sits Atop the World's Swordsmen ), you will need to obtain all the rewards of the milestones, which means obtaining one million TPs. Further TPs are only useful for improving ranking.

Treasure League[]

There are three Leagues in Treasure Map:

  • New World League: top 10,000 players, represented by a golden Sunny icon in the top left
  • Grand Line League: 15,000 players (top 10,001 - 25,000), represented by a silver Merry icon in the top left
  • East Blue League: The rest of the players, represented by a bronze Dinghy icon in the top left

Depending on your ending ranking, you will change Leagues:

  • Demoted from "New World League" to "Grand Line League": Rank in bottom 10% in New World League
  • Promoted from "Grand Line League" to "New World League": Rank in top 20% in Grand Line League
  • Demoted from "Grand Line League" to "East Blue League": Rank below 20% in Grand Line League
  • Promoted from "East Blue League" to "Grand Line League": Rank in top 30% in East Blue League

If you had started playing TM at its initial release, you will have been put in a League according to your P-LVL. If not, you will start in East Blue League.

Leagues determine the quality of rewards you receive from the Treasure Points and the difficulty of the Treasure Map (confirm difficulty changing).

Reward and Trusty Characters[]

Reward Characters or character, to be precise, is the final boss who is recruitable through said awards - e.g. for TM Mihawk it's the, well, TM Mihawk. You'll get his posters by obtaining enough Treasure Points. It can also drop from the final boss battle.

Trusty Characters are characters which are boosted, either or both stat-wise, and in increasing the amount of Treasure Points you can obtain from the battles. For details of who is boosted check the specific guide or the in-game notice. While selecting/adjusting your teams in the Treasure Map mode, Trusty characters will glow in yellow.

Treasure Sugo-Only[]

Treasure Bazaar[]

Introduced in February 2019 starting with Treasure Map Eneru

The treasure bazaar allows you to purchase training drinks, guiding stones, and limit break tablets as well previous treasure map units and their manuals and limit break materials by spending blue tickets which you get as reward points and item drops from clearing the Treasure Map.

It is not accessible for a few days before a new TM starts because of bad interface design...

As of mid-2020, the TB contains one mediocre unique unit (DEX Garp), and limit break materials for regular and past TM units.

Q: What should I spend the blue tickets for?

A: Priority should go to TM units and their LB materials you are missing. ~2 or so are discounted each month, so they are good to prioritize, but not all of them are equally useful (for example TM Kizaru has been pretty weak since day one while TM Big Mom is still solid). Of course, if you are starving for regular LB materials for some strong gatcha units, nobody will blame you if you spend some tickets to get those too.

See also the guide on reddit.

FAQ[]

Q: Will a particular TM come back again so I can get/finish LB'ing a character I missed?
A: No, but the good news is those characters and their limit break materials will be available later. However, they are tied to the Treasure Shop/Bazaar. You have to buy the characters and their LB materials from the shop in the Treasure Map with the blue tickets you get for playing TM.

Q: The TM has ended, but I didn't get any ranking rewards?
A: Those may take several days to be distributed. They'll arrive in the mail. Be patient.
